SCHOOL OF ROCK RELOCATES TO FARMINGDALE

Special fall celebration on Saturday Sept 24 to feature surprise special guests and giveaways from leading music instrument company D’Addario & Company

School of Rock has moved to Farmingdale and is now open!  The program relocated from Melville, and a special fall event is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 24.  The new facility will feature rehearsal spaces, a stage in the main rehearsal room, a recording studio, student lounge and ample parking.  School of Rock Farmingdale students will also benefit from an exclusive partnership with D’Addario & Company, the world’s top manufacturer of guitar strings and musical accessories and a fellow Long Island-based company.   The grand opening event will take place from 12:00pm-5:00pm and will offer new students an opportunity to tour the facility and meet the talented School of Rock staff as well as live performances from music guests and other School of Rock house band students and special giveaways from School of Rock and D’Addario. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with School of Rock,” comments David Via, D’Addario’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  “Our company is proud to be a partner with such an innovative music education program both on a local and national level. This is an incredible organization that nurture music students who will be our future rock stars and we’re thrilled to have their latest location just across the street from our headquarters.” 

 

School of Rock will be hosting a special Fall Promotion at the Farmingdale location, with every student who enrolls in any of the any of the music programs before  October 31 receiving a complimentary official School of Rock T-shirt.   Additionally for every new student who enrolls by October 31 and mentions Ronald McDonald House, School of Rock will donate $50 to The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. 

 

School of Rock’s proprietary performance-based curriculum teaches students to play rock music in a unique and interactive way.  There are weekly individual lessons such as Rock Music 101 which teaches students key instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboard & vocals, and weekly group sessions with seasonal performances.  For more intermediate to advanced students, School of rock is also debuting a new series of programs this Fall called Artist Development, which includes Band Coaching, Project Studio, Epic Albums and Garage Rockers. 

 

Fall Open House dates/hours are: Sat. Sept. 17 from 12pm to 3pm, Sat. Sept. 24 from 12pm to 3pm, and Sat. Oct. 1 from 12pm to 3pm.  Fall Show Rehearsals Start September 6 and are as follows:

  • Jazz Ensemble - September 6
  • Indie Rock – September 8
  • The Beatles – September 9
  • Foo Fighters - September 10
  • Radiohead – September 12
